🎨 Contrast and colour

Every text pair in this app is checked against the highest contrast standard (WCAG level AAA, 7:1), in light mode and dark mode, by an automated test that walks the whole interface. Colour is never the only thing carrying a meaning.

📋 The word list is always available

The cloud is a picture. The list beside it carries the same data in a usable order, is always in the page for a screen reader, and prints whether or not it is visible. It is the equivalent of the cloud, not a lesser version of it.

⏯️ Motion

The cloud updates on its own, so it can be paused, and the update speed can be slowed to ten seconds. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are removed rather than merely shortened.

🔍 Text size and zoom

Pinch-zoom is never blocked, and the app works when text is enlarged to 200% or the window is as narrow as 320 pixels. Controls are at least 44 pixels in every direction.

💬 Announcements

Anything that changes without you asking — a save finishing, an answer arriving, an error — is announced to a screen reader rather than being shown only as a colour or a spinner.
