The Share tool shows the question, a QR code and the link, all large. The link is always shown as text as well as a code, so a pupil whose camera will not focus can still type it.

Copy the link puts it on your clipboard so you can paste it into Teams, Google Classroom, a slide or an email. That is the easiest way to include a pupil who is not in the room.

The code above the cloud

Once answers start arriving you will usually switch to the Word cloud tool. The code does not disappear: a small copy of it sits in the join bar above the cloud, together with the link, so a latecomer can still join.

That small code is a reminder rather than something to scan from the back of the room. Select it, or press Enter on it, and the same code opens as large as the screen allows.

The link on its own is not a way in. A pupil still has to sign in, and their address still has to be allowed. So a link forwarded to a friend at another school gets them a sign-in page and then a polite refusal.

Tips

Show the Share tool while you explain the task — pupils join while you talk.

If the projector is dim, the QR code is easier to scan than a typed link. If the projector is blurry, the opposite is true. Both are always on screen.
